London Bridge Fog - Lake Havasu City, Arizona

One December morning in Lake Havasu City, I woke up to fog surrounding my house.  I knew that meant that The London Bridge would look like a London
fog.  So, I rushed over to the bridge with my film camera, a Nikon 8008s, and took a series of images. This one was my favorite.

Friday Fotos theme: "the Phoenix area."

Today's Friday Fotos theme on the Arizona Highways Magazine's Facebook page is "the Phoenix area".  My photo of the lights of Phoenix from South Mountain Park was included in the many photos submitted for this weekly submission.

I zoomed the lens as I took the photo to get this abstract effect of the lights.

Pete Moulton - In Memory

I found this picture of Pete Moulton and Benjamin Feller walking along one of the trails at Gilbert Riparian Preserve. You will be greatly missed, Pete Moulton. I recently ran into Pete when I was at Desert Botanical Garden on March 22, 2019. I introduced him to my 3 friends, two of whom had never met him. I told them how knowledgeable he was about birds and all types of bugs and in general so much of nature. His stories about them were a pleasure to listen to and learn about. He helped me so many a time with IDing birds, butterflies or dragonflies. Pete said that day that he hadn't been feeling all that well. I had no idea that he had been that sick. He never complained. Pete was a wonderful friend for the many years that I knew him and running into him at Gilbert Riparian or Papago Park. He will be so very missed by me and so many of us who have had the pleasure of knowing him. He was a wonderful photographer. Pete is now flying high with all of the birds and nature that he so dearly loved.
